The Outlook for Someday is a project that has been running since 2007 to develop, uplift and amplify the voices of Aotearoa’s young people through film.
The project consists of a range of programmes to empower young New Zealanders to explore their unique voices through filmmaking with the aim that rangatahi are encouraged to examine the world around them, tell their stories and share their perspectives of what they see, hear, and feel.
With support from Vista Foundation, aspiring young filmmakers from across Aotearoa have enjoyed opportunities to explore filmmaking through a talent development pathway that includes Someday Workshops, the Someday Film Challenge and Someday Stories. The Outlook for Someday pathway provides guidance to develop their own ideas and take them right through to delivery to an online audience.
