During the Covid periods of 2020 and 2021 the film industry was severely affected with many productions halted.
This had a significant impact on the people working in the industry as production ceased, and for a prolonged period there was little view of when a return to normal might occur. There was significant distress, hardship and mental stress for many in the industry.
The Vista Foundation partnered with the Home & Family Counselling Service to provide access to counsellors, funded by the VF, for those that needed help during this time. The service was promoted through the various industry Guilds and over 215 hours of counselling were provided.
