Run by the Directors and Editors Guild of NZ (DEGNZ), and co-funded by the Vista Foundation and the NZ Film Commission, the program ran over 3 years (2016 to 2019). The primary motivator for the programme was to help address the poor statistics of women involved in key roles in film and high end scripted dramas. The incubator was designed to assist talented female industry participants to accelerate their projects and careers towards a sustainable basis, whether in film, drama, advertising or other industry roles.
